A cable is a wire that transfers power or information from one location to another. Currently, cable materials can be generally classified into the following categories:
1. Insulation material:
a, plastics: polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, cross-linked polyethylene, polypropylene, polyolefins, etc.
        b. Rubber: natural rubber, neoprene, ethylene propylene rubber, nitrile rubber, silicone rubber, etc.
c, paper: cable paper and so on.
d, other: paint (polyurethane, etc.), glass fiber, mica products, etc.
2. Conductor materials: copper, aluminum, tin, silver, gold, etc., non-conductor metals such as iron, lead, zinc, nickel, etc.
3. Separation materials: cotton paper, polyester tape, PP tape, talc powder, mica, silicone oil, etc.
4. Sheath material: polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polyolefin, nylon, etc.
5. Semi-conductive materials and shielding materials.
The above is the current five major categories of cable materials. From the above, we can see that cable materials are closely related to our lives. If you want to know more, click here: PET mylar
